Gelanesh has suffered from third degree prolapse for three years and was very anxious and very grateful to have her surgery. She is married with six children. Thank you for helping this beautiful lady!
Zenebech is a forty-year-old mom who lives with her husband and several of her children. She has had eight but only five are still living. She has had prolapse for a little over a year and now that issue has been repaired by Dr. Mark and Dr. Nate at Soddo Christian Hospital.
This is Galtore. She is probably around 70 and had five children but only one has survived. She’s still married but, like a lot of women, her husband has another wife and does not live with her. She does see him once a week or so for coffee. She’s had prolapse for “at least 7 years” (Dr. Nate guesses that it’s been more than 10). She is still very spunky and brings a smile to everyone’s face that she talks to. She was so happy to have her surgery performed!
Aberash is 45 and was blessed with six children, all of whom are still alive. She’s actually still breastfeeding her youngest and lives with her husband and children. She’s had prolapse for about one year but it quickly became very severe. She is so grateful to be celebrating Ethiopian Christmas next week free of prolapse.
This is Hana and she is 50 years old. She had seven children and six are still alive. She lives in the Gadalla area with her husband and has had prolapse for 1 year. Thank you to our donors for helping her!

This is Balushe, a 57-year-old widow who is a mother of four. She has noticed her prolapse for one year and she was so happy to receive help from MWAHFE.
This is Bugalech who think that she is 80 years old! She has had prolapse for three years. She has five children and LOTS of grandchildren! She was healthy enough to have surgery and is so grateful.
A note from Dr. Nate: “Bugalech was SO appreciative for her surgery! After I would finish seeing her on rounds she would grab my hand and just start kissing it, showing her gratitude for what was done for her. I tried to explain that this was not just me, but a team of people as well as a good God who had stepped out to help this sweet lady. So thank you everyone!”
Latome is 50 years old. She has had seven children but only three survived. She has suffered from her prolapse for six years and was so pleased to be able to be helped through your kind generosity.
This is Marta Dache, a 36-year-old who has had prolapse for one year. She delivered seven children and five are still alive. She lives with her husband who is a farmer who grows corn and wheat. She was so pleased to be helped today and is grateful for everyone’s kindness and generosity.
This is Nehina. She is around 49 and she has suffered from her prolapse for seven years. She had nine children but only two are still alive. She is widowed. She was so grateful to have her surgery.
