Host a Gems & Java Home Party
New for our 10th Annual Gems & Java Fundraiser… you can host a Gems & Java Home Party! All you need to do is register below and you will be provided with a host kit to help you put together a wonderful social with a purpose for your friends and family that will make a big difference in the lives of women and children in Ethiopia.
Gems & Java Home Edition will have a running time of approximately one hour and will include highlights from each of our seven projects, musical numbers, and inspirational stories that will touch your heart. That’s why our theme this year is: Hearts for Ethiopia. If you didn’t see the Gems & Java Home Edition virtual program last year, please take a look so you can feel comfortable with the quality of the production your party guests will be viewing. Here are the details for this year’s program…
The program will be livestreamed with a live host on Friday, October 29th at 7pm with the Jazz Band kicking things off at 6:50.
Host Kits and advance copies of the program (with a pre-recorded host) will be available by October 15th. The Host Kits will include your choice of a copy on DVD, USB drive or a private link to YouTube. Once you have registered to host a Gems & Java Home Party, one of our volunteers will be in touch regarding a delivery of your Host Kit.
You are welcome to host your Gems & Java Home Party whenever it is convenient for you: live with us on October 29th or any time from mid-October to mid-November (with an advance copy of the program).
Your host kit will include:
A private YouTube link, DVD or USB drive (your choice) of the pre-recorded program;
A simple guide of things to consider and plan for in the stages of your Gems & Java Home Party (before the party, during the party and after the party) - the Host Kit is like a step-by-step guide to help make hosting a Gems & Java Home Party really simple for our hosts;
All materials you will need. (e.g. donation cards and envelopes, hand-out of our 7 projects and ways to help our organization, bookmarks, a poster to recognize our sponsors and a poster to draw your guest’s attention to the opportunity to donate and even an envelope to return any donations you receive at your party)

Gather on your party date and enjoy the program! You can customize the food, number of guests, and decor to suit you, your home and your guests.
